More and more organizations are pledging to reduce their indirect emissions generated in the upstream and downstream value chain. This is a big step since for many companies indirect emissions account for around 80% of their overall climate effect.
On March 15, the Royal Danish Embassy and American-Danish Business council co-hosted a discussion focused on decarbonizing supply chains with National Foreign Trade Council. The panel consisted of representatives from Mærsk, The LEGO Group, Walmart and Schneider Electric. Guests included representatives from Danish and American government and businesses. The purpose of the discussion was to share knowledge and inspire collaboration across the Atlantic and to inform key decision makers and stakeholders of relevant developments, as industries and countries push for climate action in the supply chain arena.
