On March 23-24 SelectUSA is holding their second investment summit, following the success of the 2013 event.
SelectUSA is the US Government sponsored program to promote and advice foreign companies investing in the United States. They aim to highlight the advantages of establishing a business in the United States as well as having a selection of resources to help companies. This includes market analysis, where to find case studies, help with the regulatory environment, connect businesses to partners etc. Think of SelectUSA as the American equivalent to Invest in Denmark sponsored by the Danish Government.
The investment summits target is 2500 participants: namely, investors from around the world, government officials, advisors, companies and economic development organizations (EDO’s). They will gather to network, listen to debates and speeches on different topics as well as attend exhibits by EDO’s. US Secretary of Commerce, Penny Pritzker, as well as other senior officials will host the event.
At least 23 US Ambassadors are bringing delegations of local companies to attend the summit: including US Ambassador to Denmark, Rufus Gifford, who is bringing several companies to the summit.
On March 22nd a pre-summit will be held. This is especially for small enterprises seeking assistance for the first steps concerning entering the US.
The SelectUSA Investment Summit will take place at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center at National Harbor, Maryland, near Washington, DC on March 23-24 2015.
