DONG Energy takes over U.S. offshore wind development project in New Jersey

DONG Energy has recently acquired the rights to building an off-shore wind farm off the coast of Atlantic City in the state of New Jersey. They are currently the world’s largest off-shore wind developer and this is going to be the energy giants second commissioning in U.S. waters, the first being a site south of Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts.

In a statement made by Samuel Leupold, Dong’s executive vice president of wind power, Samuel described the deal: “The site conditions are quite similar to those we currently work with in North-Western Europe, which means that the project could be developed using well-known technology.”
