Denmark is a global leader in clean & green technology and with Copenhagen setting its sights to become carbon neutral by 2025 we are well on our way.
The green feeling is being spread here in the U.S. as well, with Danish Novozymes promoting greener solutions to everyday functions. In connection to the EU-Open house held at the Embassy of Denmark on May 15th Novozymes were invited to showcase several of their green solutions including their exciting Zymobile Car. The Zymobile, a 2011 Dodge Charger FFV, runs on a blend of 15% gas and up to 85% cellulosic biofuels made from corn stover/cobs, municipal solid waste, energy grasses or wood chips. Novozymes produces the enzyme technology that converts the biomass into fuel.
Ambassador Lars Lose was given the opportunity to drive the car for a week and take on an extra duty of being an ambassador for for clean-tech as well.
Needless to say he enjoyed his experience in the vehicle.
