We are concluding 2016 on a high note. It has indeed been a substantial year, where we have undertaken a wide range of remarkable events. To some of our large events we had to devote every effort – especially to the Danish Royal Visit in September, which turned out to be a great success. As many of you remember, the Royal Visit was part of an export promoting trip to Washington D.C. and Boston led by TRH The Crown Prince Couple of Denmark and two Danish Ministers. 60 Danish companies participated in this unforgettable trip, which consisted of 31 different events.
Moreover, ADBC focused the year of 2016 towards an enhancement of our member’s access to the Congress by providing them the opportunity to attend events with the Congressional Friends of Denmark Caucus. In several occasions we have had the pleasure of offering companies the opportunity to enhance their access to the Congress. In May, ADBC supported a Friends of Denmark Caucus with attendance by the Danish Prime Minister and the Danish Minister for Foreign Affairs. ADBC serves as facilitator of relations to relevant stakeholders, and therefore it is an important priority to us to invite high-level visitors to ADBC events.
Sector-specific events are fundamental to ADBC as well. It is one of our finest duties to provide expertise and to support our companies in building knowledge and stakeholder relations. In April, ADBC held a great military export promotional event focusing on partnerships between the Danish and the U.S. defense industry. Also, in occasion of the visit by the Danish Prime Minister in March, we invited healthcare companies to join a roundtable session together with the Danish Prime Minister, where the healthcare companies were given the opportunity to have a dialogue with leading HHS Oficials.
We would like to thank our members for attending ADBC events in 2016. We are looking forward to continue working with you in 2017. Below you will find photos from the year of 2016 in ADBC.
