On Dec 8th, H.E. Lone Dencker Wisborg, the Ambassador of Denmark to the US, in cooperation with the American-Danish Business Council, hosted a Christmas Reception at the Ambassador’s residence.
In spite of a cold December breeze, there was a great attendance at the reception that was held both inside and outside the residence with more than 300 participants. The guests braved the cold weather, warming themselves in the high spirits and festive settings in cosy surroundings of Christmas lights, live Jazz, signature drinks, and hors d’oeuvres. Amongst the many guests in attendance was a wide selection of congressional staffers, government officials, business executives and many other friends of Denmark.
Ambassador Wisborg had the honour of welcoming everyone with opening remarks where she gratified the opportunity to once again host an in-person events despite another year with Covid. The full room of guests with different backgrounds was underpinning the strong ties between Denmark and the US on several issues, the Ambassador stated. Hereafter, the Ambassador gave the word to Mr. Douglas Morgante, VP of Government Relations at Maersk Inc. and Co-Chair of the ADBC. Mr. Morgante highlighting the strong network that ADBC is and how we through our shared platform achieve more by working together on our common interests in further developing the transatlantic relationship between Denmark and the US.
After the speeches, the guests continued networking with one another, and upon leaving the residence, all guests received a goodie bag from the Embassy staff.
Thank you for all that attended this lovely evening.
