DACC is a community of successful professionals with a connection to Denmark.
Our members include professionals and business owners in a wide range of industries, and at different stages of their careers – but those who join DACC show commitment to the kind of success that only a strong network can provide.
DACC is connected formally or informally with a range of Scandinavian organizations throughout the United States and Denmark – many DACC members have 20 years or more of Danish-American networking experience, and can quickly point members in the right direction, no matter what kind of help they need.
It is the vision of DACC to be the primary independent organization supporting and promoting the Danish-American professional community in Northern California.
Our Mission is to enhance our members’ lives via professional, cultural and social activities. We facilitate relationships and expand our presence with and within the Danish-American professional community, and continue to be respected in our community and among our partners and stakeholders for what we do, and how we do it.
Some examples of popular activities include an annual Easter Luncheon held in the Wine Country North of San Francisco, an annual Christmas Luncheon held at the prestigious Menlo Circus Club in Atherton, and monthly informal business lunches.
Our Strategy is to arrange high-quality professional and social events. We provide a virtual presence that serves as a focal point for Danish-American activities and resources in our community. We publish newsletters and other printed materials regularly to communicate with our members and stakeholders. We leverage committees and ad-hoc groups to create focus and momentum to achieve our objectives. We invest in activities that will grow membership and sponsorship and cooperate closely with other organizations in Northern California
DACC is headed since 2012 by Morten Sørensen (President) and five other board members who volunteer time and resources to the cause.
Memberships are individual or corporate, and include a complementary membership to the non-Profit organization Danes Worldwide, that played a major role in passing the recent legislation that allows dual citizenship for Danish citizens.
