Dear Members of the American-Danish Business Council,
As acting Ambassador and temporary Chairman of the ADBC, I want to thank all of you for your continual collaboration and engaging work towards increasing bilateral trade and partnerships between the United States and Denmark. 2018 was a notable year for the ADBC and I have no doubt that 2019 will follow its trails – and certainly, 2019 has been off to a promising start.
First of all, we opened the year by celebrating the robust relationship between the United States and Denmark with the relaunch of the congressional Friends of Denmark Caucus. Here, we had the great pleasure of having the Danish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Anders Samuelsen, as well as Caucus co-chair, Congressman Tom Cole attending and providing insightful remarks on the ever-expanding transatlantic relationship between our two nations. The Friends of Denmark Caucus is a great support to the work and objective of the ADBC, and I believe it goes without saying that our interests are indeed mutual. Apart from the relaunch of the caucus, we have increased our network by attaining new members and I would like to express my gratitude for your interest in our network – welcome to ADBC!
Going forward, we have many intriguing events coming up, but for now, I would like to highlight the arrival of our new Ambassador, Ms. Lone Wisborg. The members of the ADBC will have an opportunity to meet Ms. Wisborg in late April were we will host an exclusive welcome reception for the ADBC at the Danish Embassy. More information will follow on this regard.
