The recent Invictus Games 2016 hosted by Prince Harry in Orlando, FL, was a fantastic and inspiring event in which 30 Danish wounded soldiers competed in several sporting disciplines like Wheelchair Rugby, Rowing and Archery.
The event which seeks to inspire recovery, play an active part in the rehabilitation and honour the physically or mentally wounded Servicemen and women was attended by the Danish Minister of Defense, Peter Christensen, the Danish Chief of Defence, Peter Bartram. The Danish ambassador Lars Lose and the Embassy’s Defense Section participated in the support of the Danish VIPs. The Danish Team returned to Denmark after a fantastic but also emotional week with one gold, five silver and two bronze medals. Next Invictus Games will be in Toronto in 2017.
