On July 8th, The American-Danish Business Council partnered up with the Royal Danish Embassy in Washington D.C. to host a reception marking the start of Denmark’s EU presidency. Remarks were given by Deputy Prime Minister & Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen and Minister of Foreign Affairs Lars Løkke Rasmussen as well as Ambassadors Jesper Møller Sørensen and Oksana Markarova.

With over 100 participants from both the public and private sector, we marked the important six months for European priorities and transatlantic cooperation. Denmark is committed to strengthening Europe’s security and promoting a competitive and green Europe.
